Chimera Housing
Professor
Ryan Scavnicky
Project Brief:
Create a home out of a mash of exerts from photographed houses within the Kent area; focusing on uncomfortable moments within the newly pieced images.
Location:
Kent, Ohio
Square Footage:
6,000 rounded
Precedent:
Personally stylized dependent on original pieced images. Post produced in an 80’s theme of funky fresh advertisements made to sell you the experience of customizing a chimera home. Standing out of a suburban enviornment only to blend back in, based on commonly found suburban geometries.
Project Approach:
Produce a home I would live in located in a suburban neighborhood. This home resulted from iterations of pieced architectural moments, digital drawings, and physical models simultaneously playing with scale, flattening, and extruding.
