LOOP

The main focus in my design was to let the existing warehouse structure be what it is, but taken in a new dramatic twist. A space that is multifunctional with “retractable walls” and usable year round, at all times of day.

The original warehouse loops back onto itself living the Zef lifestyle. This gentle rise loops its occupants from the base of one continuous form to the tip and back down which invites a casual precession to shop, eat, drink, and hangout. The retractable windowed doors which line the walls allow for control of atmosphere. When opened, exterior becomes entangled with interior, and when closed, the two are separated.
